During these trying times, now more than ever, it is important to stay connected with family, friends, and neighbors. In the last few weeks, the board of SEPOA has transitioned to a new website, and a digital format for our newsletter. This allows the board to stay connected with the community on a more regular basis, and allows a more convenient forum for community members to communicate with the board, at little to no cost to our members. With this transition, the board realizes that there may be some of our neighbors that do not have access to technology. That is why we are starting the SEPOA social outreach 2020 program. We are starting to compile a list of community members that may not have access to the internet or a computer, or who would like an occasional call from a neighbor to talk about what is happening in the community, or just want to talk!! The board has met quite a few neighbors that fall into this category, and we stay in touch with them on a regular basis to see how they are doing and if there is anything we can assist them with. The board would love help from our fellow neighbors to help locate other members that would benefit from this outreach program. If you know of anyone who does not have access to technology, lives alone, or may just want a friendly call now and then: please email info@sorrentoeast.org with Social Outreach in the memo line. Of course, we would love to have volunteers to help with this social outreach as well, so if you are interested, please let us know!! Also, we do have a group of volunteers in the community who are here to help neighbors with work around the house or in the yard that they may not be able to accomplish due to their circumstances. So please, if you know of anyone that falls into this category, let us know and we will reach out to them. Please be safe and be kind to your neighbors!!!
